Resume tailoring

Tailor your resume to any job description

Paste the posting. SealApply rewrites and reorders the experience you already have to match what the job asks for, and shows you every change before it lands.

How it works

  1. Add your resume. Upload a PDF or DOCX. It is parsed into sections in your browser.
  2. Paste the job description. SealApply pulls out the title, company, skills and keywords the posting asks for.
  3. Pick what matters. Choose which roles, projects and sections belong on this application.
  4. Tailor and review. Run the optimizer, then accept or reject each change line by line.
  5. Check and export. See the ATS match score move, then export a clean PDF.

Why tailor at all

Recruiters and applicant tracking systems both look for the language of the posting. A resume that describes the same work in the employer's words gets read; a generic one gets skimmed.

Tailoring by hand is slow, so most people skip it. SealApply does the first pass for you, and you spend your time on the review instead of the rewrite.

What it will not do

  • Add a job, degree, certification or skill you did not list.
  • Change your dates or titles.
  • Apply any edit you have not approved.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free to tailor my resume with SealApply?

Yes. SealApply does not charge a subscription. The built-in AI provider needs no API key, or you can connect your own Gemini, OpenRouter, OpenAI or Claude key.

Will the AI make up experience to match the job?

No. The optimizer is limited to rewording, reordering and re-emphasizing what is already in your resume, and every change is shown as a diff you approve or reject.

Should I tailor my resume for every job?

For jobs you actually want, yes. Matching the posting's language raises your keyword coverage for the ATS and makes the relevant work easier for a recruiter to spot. SealApply's match score helps you decide which jobs are worth the effort.

Where is my resume stored?

In your own browser. SealApply does not keep a copy on a server. Only the text you send for tailoring goes to the AI provider you chose.
